What is Kujundžiluk?
Kujundžiluk is the pedestrian bazaar street immediately below the Old Bridge. Its name comes from kujundžija — goldsmith/coppersmith — and the trade is still visible in the hammered copperware hanging outside every shop.
What to buy
- Copper & coffee sets — džezva (Bosnian coffee pots) and engraved trays.
- Traditional footwear — colourful opanci slippers.
- Rugs & kilims — haggle hard; prices are flexible.
- Sovenirs — bridge miniatures, painted panels, rose-water.
Haggling tips
Prices are rarely fixed. A polite counter at 50–60% of the first quote is normal, and paying in cash helps. The further you wander from the bridge, the lower the prices.
How to get there
It’s walkable from anywhere in Mostar old town — just descend the steps from either end of Stari Most. If you’re coming on a day trip, it’s the natural first or last stop.
